ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Video Editor at PMA, you will be responsible for transforming raw, unedited clips into compelling videos that align with our clients’ goals and vision. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of video projects, ranging from engaging short videos for social media platforms (ie. IG Reels, TikToks, Youtube Shorts, etc.) to masterful professional videos to be used on websites, campaigns, advertisements, and more. The role requires a creative magician who can work independently without a ton of direction and possesses a keen eye for detail. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the PMA team to establish the desired look and feel for each video project.
  • Review and understand the client’s goals, vision, and inspirational accounts/companies.
  • Gather and transfer all forms of media into editing software, ensuring proper formatting. 
  • Apply creative expertise to select and execute perfect transitions, cuts, and overall video tone. 
  • Utilize computer editing software and equipment used for video media, effects, and enhancing video and sound quality.
  • Establish a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of the video’s creation and bring them to life.
  • Edit video to include preselected music, interviews, sound clips, and other important elements of the project.
  • Ensure the correct formatting and presentation for finalized videos according to client specifications.

  • Demonstrating a keen creative eye to capture and assist in capturing the perfect angles, shots, and clips for clients.
    Collaborating closely with videographers, photographers, and other team members from PMA before, during, and after shoots.
  • Multitasking effectively in a fast-paced environment and thinking quickly on your feet.
    Collaborating with the PMA team, and potentially clients, to establish the desired look and feel for the shoots and align with the goals of the project.
  • Providing support to content creators in organizing various elements such as people, props, lighting, and set areas to create the desired environment, lighting, and tone that aligns with the client’s goals.
  • Creating and maintaining organized pre-shoot guides, shot lists, notes, and captured content using platforms like Dropbox or Google Drive.
  • Acting as a liaison between videographers/photographers and the marketing team to ensure timely upload of content, effective note-taking and organization, and smooth flow of content to the content creation team and video editors.

QUALIFICATIONS + SKILLS

  • Creative marketing experience or a strong interest in producing, directing, filmmaking, photography, and videography.
  • Ability to comprehend and bring to life the desired outcomes of projects discussed with the internal team or clients.
  • Experience working with and coordinating groups of people, while maintaining an encouraging and positive attitude during one-on-one interviews.
  • Friendly, punctual, and possessing a highly positive attitude and demeanor that attracts others. Regarded as an organized and encouraging individual.
  • Ability to collaborate well with other creative professionals to supply clients with top-notch finalized products.
  • Possess excellent writing and verbal communication skills to convey ideas clearly and professionally.

EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or GED certificate
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a fast paced, high energy environment
  • Experience working with a marketing team is a plus
  • Proficient in using Dropbox and Google Drive for file management and collaboration.
  • Intermediate to expert in Spanish language skills are a plus, but are not required
  • Ability to work mostly weekdays + a few weekends (rare) throughout the year
